There's an old saying in the world, “It's who you know that gets you the job, it's what you know that keeps it.” While lots of people might not like to admit this truth, most of us get at least a few of our jobs because we happen to know a friend of a friend, our uncle has some pull, or because you've got someone on the inside track. There's no shame in using a connection to get a job you're fully qualified for, however sometimes it can be a little hard to make those connections. Fortunately, college is the place to make them.

Sports video game giant EA Sports is still nearly two months away from releasing their much-anticipated EA Sports: MMA game, but the hype just keeps on coming. EA has developed a new concept in fighting games to do battle with UFC: Undisputed on store shelves this fall and under Christmas trees this winter. This week, EA announced their welterweight and lightweight rosters. Both divisions feature some of the toughest fighters in MMA. Current Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez leads the pack at 155 pounds. Numerous notable fighters from Japan’s DREAM promotion are available to contend with the champ, including Shinya Aoki, Hayato Sakurai and Satoru Kitaoka.

“That son of a --” “Why does he always hit his card and I never do?” “Why do I play my best and still lose?” Unlike in most other games, the best poker player at the table does not win every hand. When the cards turn against you and you start seeing red, you are officially “on tilt”. Phil “Poker Brat” Hellmuth, the most visible example of “tilt”, has practically created a cottage industry out of his tantrums.
